In a group of 6, we have to choose and do research of a building that best features passive design strategy for tropical climate. (2 passive design is needed only including principles and details of the passive design strategies). We have to compile our work in 2 A3 poster at last and have a conclusion of our research.

We have divided into 2 groups which we choose to analyse the passve design of ventilation and roof pond of Sky Park @ One City. In this project, i'm in charge in the roof pond system with the helps by Tan Wei How and Yii Hong Gin.

CASE STUDY: ANALYSING PASSIVE DESIGN STRATEGIES

This project helps to gain knowledge about the passive design startegies apply in tropical climate- how it works, the principle behind it as well as the aesthethic value provided by passive design. We're given the chance to identify environment condition in relate to the site context and climate that is very much useful in improving our site analysis skills. Plus, i have learnt more than that as we have further studies about the same passive design at other climate and do comparison about it. Also, with the gain in lore, i'm able to criticize design of the space in terms of radiant cooling by referring to MS1525 , UBBL, GBI and Green Mark standards.
